The Spring Playlist: 2025

Just two weeks ago, I woke up to several inches of snow and was convinced spring would never arrive. But hope won out, and within a few hours the snow had melted, leaving behind a beautiful spring day. In honor of that seasonal see-saw, my spring playlist this year is appropriately named “In Like a Lion”—just like that wild day came in like a winter lion and went out like a spring lamb.

Most of my new music discovery these days is courtesy of my niece, who is not only a supremely talented singer-songwriter but also has supremely talented singer-songwriter friends. Some of their songs are in this season’s playlist, as well as some old and new favorites.
